Offer strategic and technical health and nutrition advice to headquarters and field staff, as well as training and coaching Telimed field health and nutrition staff in emergency (acute and chronic) as well as transitional programming.  Assist in strengthening, supporting and standardising the technical quality of Telimed’s health and nutrition sector programming at field and HQ levels to ensure we meet international health guidelines and best serve our beneficiaries.

 

Quality Management and Technical Assistance

  • Provide technical health advice to Head of Country Programmes and field advisors at all key stages of the project management cycle including needs assessment, technical strategy and design, implementation as well as sector specific monitoring and evaluation. This includes travel to field programmes as well as review of proposals, key reports and surveys prior to external submission.
  • Stay abreast of current best practice. Research and stay informed on academic and technical health and nutrition issues, techniques, and guidelines to inform and improve programming.

 

Training

  • Assist in developing internal training materials and resources and providing training to staff at appropriate venues, including but not limited to the ROC, HQ Briefing, HQ Inductions and online sessions.

The Heavy Equipment / Grader Operator  is responsible for operating one or several types of power construction equipment, such as front end loader, roller, bulldozer, or excavator in order to move, excavate, and grade earth, erect structures, or pour concrete or other hard surface pavements.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Take action to avoid potential hazards and obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
  • Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate such stated machines
  • Align machines with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers.
  • Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, and materials, using trucks, crawler tractors, shovels, graders, or related equipment.
  • Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members

 

Requirments:

  • Must have minimum of 3 years experience running, maneuvering, driving, and navigating equipment such as bulldozer, excavators, rollers, and front-end loaders.
  • Strongly prefer candidates with High School Diploma
  • Must be able to communicate with others to convey information effectively.
  • Must be accustomed to working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
  • Must be able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials

Experience:

Five years of experience in wireless telecommunications performing work related to Wireless system administration, Microwave backhaul design and support, public safety radio system administration and support, P25 digital radio system acquisition, telephone service ordering, and/or coordinating the maintenance or operation of large voice communications systems.  Supervisory experience is desirable.

 

Knowledge of:

  • Two-Way Radio and Broadband Wireless Communications Systems, including P25 Land Mobile Radio (LMR) System and 4G LTE systems.
  • IP based large scale network deployments, integration, operations and support.
  • Voice (including voice messaging), video, and data communications systems, performance capabilities, and evaluative techniques used to determine telephone, video, and data communications service requirements.
  • Trends and current developments in the wireless communications field, including methods, procedures, systems, and equipment.
  • Rules, codes, regulations, and laws applicable to the wireless telecommunications sector.
  • Rate structures and billing procedures of communications common carriers.
  • Report preparation.

 

Ability to:
  • Design, plan, and specify a Wireless Communications System.
  • Plan, coordinate, and track complex projects.
  • Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Operate a personal computer.
